Flow chart - accident investigation

When there’s an accident, it’s handy if the manager or supervisor directly involved is able to begin the investigation process. Use our flow chart to ensure that your procedures are easily understood.

Keeping control

Most managers and supervisors respond well in the immediate aftermath of an accident, ensuring that the victim receives first aid or medical help. But if they don’t understand what’s required during the investigation phase which follows, important information could be lost and they might contravene criminal law by not compiling essential records and reports. This could leave the business open to enforcement action or cause difficulties with your insurers.

Our Flow chart – accident investigation takes your staff through the process of investigating the accident and reporting it to the authorities, if necessary. It shows when an accident might need to be escalated to senior management and when a basic form can be completed.
