The law

As an employer you must ensure that employees who are pregnant or who have recently given birth are properly protected from hazards at work. The legal requirements are set out in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, duties which we have reflected in our new Flow Chart - New and Expectant Mothers at Work.
