Manager’s health and safety induction checklist

Most organisations have an established process for inducting their new starters. But what health and safety information must be covered if the new employee is taking up a management role?

Keeping control

Managers take on significant responsibility for the safety of your staff and your activities. If they make mistakes they could cause accidents or land you in court. So it’s critical that managers know the rules and procedures before they’re let loose in your organisation.

Our Manager’s Health and Safety Induction Checklist covers a wide range of topics including recruitment, staff training, disciplinary offences, consultation arrangements, emergency procedures and contractor controls. Tailor our form to your business to provide a self-led induction for the new starter.

Once the induction is complete, check the recruit’s understanding with a short test.

Retain the signed record of induction for the duration of the manager’s post and at least three years beyond the end date.
