Responsible management

The Power Operated Door Log provides a record of what was done, when and why, along with any outstanding action points. It should be kept on site and made available for completion when the maintenance company attends to service or repair the equipment. 

Note. Ensure that the record is passed to the responsible manager so that any findings and recommendations can be noted.

You might prefer to maintain it in an electronic format so that you can easily share it and keep a back-up copy.  Where that’s the case, you should forego the engineer’s signature sections.

Retain the document for at least three years.
