Starting from scratch
Not only is food hygiene difficult outside of a commercial kitchen, but there are also other safety matters to consider, such as electrical and gas safety, access, hot surfaces etc. There’s potential for all sorts of accidents to staff or the public, so thorough planning is needed.
Our Outdoor Catering Checklist is based on the one used by environmental health officers, so implementing all the standards it lists should help you to avoid any enforcement action.
