Using our document

We have designed our Panic Alarm Test Record so that it can be used easily by anyone given the responsibility of carrying out this work. It has been set out over one page, with some simple instructions.

At the top of the form we’ve provided instructions which should apply in the majority of circumstances. These remind you to warn anyone that this is a test. That might include occupants in the building as well as those at an alarm receiving centre.

The second instruction is to ensure that you know how to reset the alarm after the test. This might involve a code or key. It’s something to consider in advance before you annoy the whole building with an unnecessarily long alarm test.
