Finding ways to reduce energy consumption can feel daunting. Involve your employees and ask them about their attitude to energy use in the workplace and whether they have any ideas that you can use.

Using the form

Involving your staff and perhaps acting on their ideas will make them feel valued and if their suggestions are feasible it could save your business money. At the very least it will raise awareness that you are managing energy consumption which may make them act in a more environmentally aware way. The form is simple to complete and should take no more than five minutes. It asks eight questions about energy habits and all they have to do is circle A-D. There is space at the end for them to enter any ideas for reducing energy use.

Collate the results to give you an understanding of your workers’ attitudes to energy consumption. If the majority of your staff are mostly answering D then it could be a good opportunity to organise a campaign to raise awareness and get them actively involved in reducing energy usage.
