Before using a cement mixer, it’s sensible to check that key safety arrangements are in place.  Use our checklist for this purpose.

This Cement Mixer Checklist is designed as a supplement to your risk assessment and method statement and can be completed by the workers themselves. It begins with a reminder of the hazards associated with cement mixer use, which can be easily overlooked by users who are familiar with the equipment. There are then 22 points and each one is to be marked “Yes” or “N/A” in the adjacent columns. These cover the information needed, such as the pre-use and siting of equipment, and safety aspects both during and after use. The form should take no longer than two to three minutes to complete.
