Managing the risks

To help you identify the hazards associated with machinery, e.g. entrapment, electric shock, etc., and the appropriate ways of controlling them, use our example Machinery Risk Assessment. It covers the specific hazards associated with complex equipment and suggests control measures to reduce risks to an acceptable level.

Clearly identify specialist hazards

Adapt the risk assessment to be specific for the type of equipment you are using.

Note. This risk assessment does not need to be used for very basic equipment such as photocopiers or laptops, but is intended for more complex machinery.
