Introduction to this document
Method statement - concrete
Because of the risks associated with concrete, you must identify the safe systems of work that your staff should follow before work is carried out.
What to do?
To ensure that you give your staff sufficient practical guidance on how you wish the work to be undertaken, use our sample Method Statement - Concrete.
Clear guidance
This method statement is a written series of safe systems of work. It specifies the activities to be undertaken on a stage-by-stage basis. It also details the precautions necessary to protect those involved in the work, including other contractors, members of the public and anyone else who may be affected by the work. This document identifies creating a safe workplace, setting out the equipment that may be needed for the task and guidance.
Note. You may wish to add additional information/boxes to your form. However, we suggest that you don’t remove any of those that we’ve included. This is because our document follows industry standards and covers all the information that should be included in such a document.
Make it specific to the work
The first few boxes on the document should be used to identify which job the method statement applies to. Here you should state the site location, client, start date and details of any drawings which need to be followed.
