Laptop use policy
Whilst laptops have undoubtedly boosted the productivity of staff outside the office, they can lead to aches and pains if misused. To combat this, introduce a Laptop Use Policy.
Safe use of laptops
Laptops are now a vital piece of office equipment for many employees. However, they can cause eyestrain, back and neck pains. There are also security issues, as being portable they are easy to steal. For this reason, we have produced a policy template to help you manage their safe use. The Laptop Use Policy includes a “general statement of policy” and description of the legal position, followed by details of the management arrangements and user guidelines. It’s designed to demonstrate your health and safety policy, but there’s also space for employees to sign to show that they’ve been instructed in the guidelines.
