what’s covered?
Our Summary of Designer’s Responsibilities explains the duties of designers under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Designers have an important role in health and safety as many of their decisions about design, materials, work sequencing etc. affect the safety of construction workers and those who use the building. Our document explains how the designer should take health and safety into account in these decisions as well as other aspects of the role such as the provision of information to other parties.
You’ll find our document useful if you are taking on the role yourself or are assigning the role to another organisation.
